The idea behind this project is deciphering the role of the female in classical painting and then reconstructing the image with contemporary views and ideas to show how she might be seen today.
Classic art relies on heavily laden signifiers, objects and expressions to represent the meaning behind the image. From this I have used modern ideas of wealth, beauty, sexuality and acceptance to reconstruct the original. To deliver new ideas with influences from modern art.
